The Ultimate Sacrifice

Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day, and was a time set aside to decorate the graves of those who lost their lives in the American Civil War. It was later expanded to commemorate all who had given their lives in service to their great country.

So we give a simple but heartfelt "thank you" to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and also to those who were willing to risk the same to protect our freedom. We remember.

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self
Their country loved,
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness,
And ev'ry gain divine!
