Men's Retreat

I was gone this weekend to the first ever New Hope Men's Retreat, held at Aldersgate Conference Center in Turner, Oregon. We had a good time of worship, teaching, eating and just being together. There's nothing like an away trip to get to know people better, and that was what I was looking forward to the most. I wasn't disappointed--I got a chance to talk with some men I didn't know very well and really enjoyed it!

Dave Bertolini and Gerry Clark both did great in their teaching times. We had excellent food at the conference center (I ate a LOT), and the lodgings were really comfortable. Between meetings there was lots of talking and playing pool, and (from what I hear) basketball and frisbee golf.

So it was a great weekend! I got to know some of the guys better, and I also have some thoughts to ponder about spiritual vision, change in the church, and even our sex-driven media culture. Plus I took some pictures...here are some photos from the weekend (from myself and my co-photographer Repko Bruinsma).
